Participating in Community Consultations
The Golden Mile Impact Network (GMIN) is a group of community-based organizations and resident leaders that brings community voice and active participation in the process and work related to the Greater Golden Mile redevelopment.
GMIN has developed the Golden Mile Community Benefits Framework as a community-informed response to the anticipated large-scale, transit-oriented development precipitated by the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT). The Golden Mile Benefits Framework is foundational for the Inclusive Local Economic Opportunity (ILEO) initiative and informs all the ILEO pilots and projects, including the Aecon-Golden Mile (A-GM) Joint Venture.
GMIN is supported by United Way Greater Toronto and led by Working Women Community Centre. Learn more here: https://www.workingwomencc.org/goldenmileimpact
The Greater Golden Mile includes the Flemingdon Park, Victoria Village, Ionview, Eglinton East, Kennedy Park, and Golden Mile neighbourhoods. Residents of the Greater Golden Mile have postal codes beginning with M1J, M1K, M1L, M3C, or M4A.
From employment & training services, to settlement workers, childcare programs, and food banks, the Centre for Inclusive Economic Opportunity (CIEO) can help you find local agencies that can prepare you to take full advantage of current and future economic opportunities in the Greater Golden Mile.
Services are available throughout the Greater Golden Mile to help individuals and families gain skills, generate income, and participate in the community's growth.
