About the Program:
Peer Groups offer valuable input and fresh perspectives on your business's challenges and opportunities for growth. Sessions are guided by a Mentor who is an experienced entrepreneur, and the Mentees use action learning to problem-solve in real time.
Women business owners who are beyond the start-up stage of business hold a collective level of expertise that is perfect for a Peer Mentoring format. Connecting with other women entrepreneurs who are like-minded and growth-oriented is invaluable!
Eligibility:
Self-identified woman, trans-femme, or non-binary entrepreneur
Actively operating a business in Canada that is generating revenue
Has one or more employees
Is focused on growing their business
Legal resident of Canada
Over the age of 19
*Sole proprietors and solopreneurs are also eligible and welcome to apply if they are in the growth-stage of their business.

The Forum’s Mentor Program was started in 2002 with a desire to connect women entrepreneurs with the guidance, knowledge, and community they’ll need to thrive in business. Since the program’s inception, we’ve paired an average of 100+ Mentees per year all across Canada. That’s 2,700+ pairings and counting.

About the Event:
In advance of every G20 Leaders’ Summit, the G20 YEA brings together hundreds of the world’s top young entrepreneurs to advance youth entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth, innovation, and social change.
The Summit allows young entrepreneurs to become part of a network of champions for youth entrepreneurship, advising on issues of importance, sharing ideas and proposing solutions. It also offers a vital opportunity for young entrepreneurs to network with peers, advance their businesses, make international connections, and explore international growth strategies.
Eligibility:
18 - 39 years old
Able to communicate in English
A Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Demonstrated entrepreneurial leader familiar with the challenges facing young entrepreneurs
An owner/co-founder/majority shareholder of a Canadian business or non-profit that has been in operation for at least two years*
*Exceptions may be made for businesses that have been operating for less than two years where the applicant can demonstrate significant business growth (preferably global)
You must have an interest in:
Affecting entrepreneurship policy
Exploring international markets
Making international connections to advance business interests
The Brazilian market or other G20 market (this is considered an asset)
The Summit sessions may feature:
High-profile keynote speakers
Breakout sessions, panel discussions, focus groups, and a pitch competition
Virtual networking opportunities through profile matching and conference navigation
Summit activities organized by Futurpreneur will include:
Introductions to business development organizations
Meetings with the Trade Commissioner Service, senior government officials and international business associations and services
B2B/Bilateral meetings
Networking events and cultural activities
